How Tracking Packages Works
With the internet, anyone can track their packages with ease. Knowing what day or even what time frame on that day your package will arrive is golden information. You can plan your day or weekly schedule around that information. Even if you do not have to sign for a package, you do not want it sitting out waiting to be stolen.
USPS Package Tracking
Tracking can be purchased from the USPS when you send a package. Some of their mailing services come with tracking included in the price, such as Priority Mail and Express Mail. Tracking a package in the care of the United States Postal Service is as easy as going online, entering in the tracking number and hitting the enter key. The system will show you the current city the package is in and when to expect the delivery by a US Postal Carrier.
USPS tracking numbers come in various configurations. See examples on each below.

You can find your USPS tracking number in your online account when we ship the item to you. If you are performing a shipment on your own, please find the tracking number on your Post Office receipt, email confirmation or on the pull off from the tracking label.
FedEx Package Tracking
The Federal Express tracking system is similar to the USPS. You will go online, enter in your Tracking ID and then you will be brought to a display of your packages current status.
Fedex also allows you to sign up for a service where they email you at different stages of shipment.
